Benefits of Taking a Pet Friendly Holiday

Previously, taking your dog on holiday would have been more hassle than it was worth with limited places to go and few activities to take part in. Over recent years, the soaring rise in pet ownership has led to an increase in pet friendly holiday accommodation in UK locations. From trains and hotels to parks and historic attractions, there is now a wealth of fun and exciting excursions to take the whole family on.
Fun for Whole Family – Leaving your pet behind when you go on holiday can cause heartbreak for you and your animals. Some pets can become increasingly disorientated and not seem themselves upon your return. It is difficult to have a good time on holiday when you know your pet is most likely bored and miserable back home. Taking a pet friendly holiday gives you a chance to involve the entire family and give your dog the experience of a lifetime.
Save Money – Most people turn to kennels to look after their pets when they go away. However, kennels can be expensive for what is essentially a basic environment. You could take your pet along and save money by choosing pet friendly holiday accommodation in UK locations, which leave you more money to spend on activities together rather than apart.
Meet Other Owners – Where better to meet and engage with like minded people than at pet friendly holiday accommodation in UK locations. Learn about the best walks, attractions and sights to take your dog to when you stay somewhere other dog owners like to stay.
Unusual Destinations - When you go on holiday, many of us are tempted to stick to the usual sights and attractions. However, you dog needs regular walks and exercise which can open up a whole world of exciting possibilities; helping you experience sights off the beaten track.

Steel Buildings – Gehry’s Eclectic Designs

As steel buildings go, few have such a unique slant on how to design them as world famous architect, Frank Gehry.  The Los Angeles based architect has created some of the most recognisable steel buildings in the world.

Steel buildings are often designed to be durable but this is not the case for the architect Frank Gehry who is much more interested in his steel buildings being eye-catching. Boasting impossible angles and spectacular visuals, the steel behemoths that he formulates are some of the most striking pieces of modern architecture around today. Examples of his steel buildings can be found from Prague to Santa Monica.

Steel Buildings – A Collection of Class

Frank Gehry and his array of steel buildings are renowned throughout the world and chances are you will have seen one of his constructions without even realising it. Just some Gehry’s most famous steel buildings include:

  • Guggenheim Museum – The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is, arguably, the most famous example of one of Gehry’s steel buildings. This striking building was open in 1997 and was designed in the style of Deconstructivism. Like the majority of Gehry’s buildings, it is composed principally of steel and consists of radically sculpted, organic contours.
  • Walt Disney Concert Hall – One of Los Angeles’ most recognisable steel buildings and another Gehry design classic. The Walt Disney Concert Hall can be found in downtown Los Angeles and is home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Undoubtedly one of Gehry’s most famous steel buildings and which features his trademark of steel cladding, it was opened in 2003 to widespread praise.
  • Gehry Tower – Located in Hanover in Germany, this is one of Gehry’s most striking steel buildings due to an unusual twist on its outer façade. Gehry Tower is a nine story building which is constructed predominantly from stainless steel and it has been praised for its economical use of space.

Steel buildings have numerous uses from mobile stables to stunning skyscrapers, and Gehry’s designs will certainly stand the test of time.
